Chiliz is a Malta-based fintech company that operates the Socios.com platform, a blockchain-based sports and entertainment platform. Chiliz's primary product is the CHZ token, which serves as the native cryptocurrency for the Socios ecosystem. The Socios platform allows sports teams and organizations to create and distribute their own fan tokens. These fan tokens grant holders certain rights and privileges, such as the ability to participate in club-related polls and surveys. For example, fans can vote on decisions like what message the team captain should wear on their armband. This provides teams and clubs a new way to engage with and monetize their fan bases. Chiliz has partnered with numerous high-profile sports teams and leagues, including FC Barcelona, Manchester City, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, and the UFC. By purchasing CHZ tokens, fans can acquire these various fan tokens and play an active role in the governance of their favorite teams and clubs. The CHZ token itself is available across multiple blockchains, including Ethereum, Binance Smart Chain, and TRON.
