Gnosis

Gnosis is a decentralized ecosystem of projects focused on revolutionizing payment infrastructure and making decentralized financial tools accessible to everyone. The core of the Gnosis ecosystem is the Gnosis Chain, a highly secure, resilient, and decentralized Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) Layer 1 network. Gnosis was launched in 2015 under ConsenSys Inc., an Ethereum-focused software company, and later became an independent project in 2017 with the launch of its native GNO token. The core team is led by Martin Köppelmann (CEO and co-founder), Stefan George (CTO and co-founder), and Dr. Friederike Ernst (COO). The GNO token is the staking token of the Gnosis Chain and the governance token for the GnosisDAO. It is also used as an index token for the Gnosis ecosystem, which includes the venture-building arms Gnosis Studio and GnosisVC. These ventures incubate, invest in, and support projects in various stages, with GNO being used directly or being economically coupled with the project tokens.
