Biba appoints Barr to succeed Evans as chair

May 14 - (The Insurer) - Caroline Barr is to succeed Jonathan Evans as chair of the British Insurance Brokers' Association at the end of the year.

Barr's appointment was announced by Biba CEO Graham Trudgill in his opening address at the association's annual conference in Manchester.

Barr has sat on Biba's main board for six years and also chairs its access to insurance committee.

She was previously a deputy director at HM Treasury and serves as a non-executive director at BlackRock Life.
