MOSCOW, June 3 (Reuters) - Yevgeny Balitsky, the Russian-installed head of the Zaporizhzhia region in southern Ukraine, said the process of reconnecting consumers to the power grid was under way after a Ukrainian attack left people without power.
Balitsky said on Telegram that around 20% of the more than 600,000 people left without electricity now had power again.
At least 700,000 people in parts of two Ukrainian regions controlled by Russia lost power as a result of attacks by Ukrainian forces, Russia's news agencies reported early on Tuesday.
There was no immediate comment from Ukraine which is fighting to try to retake territory it says has been seized from it by Russia in a colonial-style landgrab.
