TOKYO, July 24 (Reuters) - Japan's Topix index rose to a record high and the Nikkei share average marked a one-year peak on Thursday, as stocks climbed for a second day after Tokyo struck a long-awaited trade deal with Washington.
The Topix .TOPX advanced as much as 1.4% to reach 2,968.48 for the first time ever.
The Nikkei .N225 gained as much as 1.4% to 41,740.71.
