UK Stocks-Factors to watch on May 1

- Britain's FTSE 100 .FTSE index opened 0.27% lower on Thursday.

LSEG: The London Stock Exchange Group LSEG.L said first-quarter income rose 8.2%.

LLOYDS: Lloyds Banking Group LLOY.L reported a drop in first-quarter profit and said it had set aside 100 million pounds ($133 million) for tariff-related impact.

NATIONAL GRID: National Grid NG.L named Zoë Yujnovich as its next CEO.

ROLLS ROYCE: Rolls-Royce RR.L said it expected to be able to offset the impact of global tariffs to keep it on track for 2025 profit targets.

WHITBREAD: Whitbread WTB.L reported a 14% drop in its annual adjusted pretax profit.

PERSIMMON:Persimmon PSN.L said it was on track to deliver its annual target for home completions.

DRAX: Drax Group DRX.L said it expects its annual adjusted core profit to be at the top end of analyst consensus estimates.

SCIENCE GROUP: Science Group SAGS.L said that it has requisitioned a general meeting of shareholders at Ricardo RCDO.L to propose the removal of its Chairman Mark Clare.

SCHRODERS: Schroders SDR.L reported 7.4 billion pounds of net outflows of client cash in the first quarter.

HISCOX: Hiscox HSX.L reported top-line growth of 2.4% for the first quarter of 2025.

S4 CApital: S4 Capital SFOR.L named Radhika Radhakrishnan as its finance boss.

LANCASHIRE: LancashireLRE.L reported gross written premium growth of 12.7% in its first-quarter trading statement.

JUPITER FUND MANAGEMENT: Jupiter Fund Management's JUP.L Chair will retire later this year.

COMMODITIES: Oil prices steadied, while gold was subdued and London copper edged up on the dollar's strength and easing trade tensions.

EX-DIVS: Glencore GLEN.L and Centrica CNA.L will trade without entitlement to its latest dividend pay-out.
