Denmark shares higher at close of trade; OMX Copenhagen 20 up 2.36%

Investing.com – Denmark equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Personal&Household Goods and Chemicals sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 2.36%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were DSV Panalpina A/S (CSE:DSV), which rose 10.04% or 125.50 points to trade at 1,375.00 at the close. Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) added 2.66% or 23.70 points to end at 914.20 and Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb) was up 2.52% or 19.60 points to 797.00 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Genmab (CSE:GMAB), which lost 1.66% or 30.00 points to trade at 1,779.00 in late trade. GN Store Nord (CSE:GN) declined 0.65% or 1.10 points to end at 159.50 and Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) shed 0.35% or 3.20 points to 922.80.

Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 79 to 50 and 26 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 3.51% or 2.36 to $69.67 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 3.02% or 2.13 to hit $72.74 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.56% or 39.75 to trade at $2,582.15 a troy ounce.

USD/DKK was down 0.19% to 6.76, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.46.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 101.58.
