SAO PAULO, April 8 (Reuters) - U.S.-based artificial intelligence firm Anthropic plans to open an office in Brazil, local outlet Valor Economico reported on Wednesday, adding the company would launch operations in the Latin American country in 2027.
Valor said, citing an interview with Anthropic Chief Product Officer Mike Krieger, that the firm would appoint an operations head for Brazil as a first step and focus on luring corporate clients to use its Claude AI model.
Anthropic did not immediately reply to a request for comment.
