The five-year gilt yield GB5YT=RR fell by around 8 basis points shortly after the market opened - a slightly bigger drop than for German and U.S. counterparts, but smaller than the fall seen in 5-year French yields.
The two-year gilt yield GB2YT=RR fell by 5 basis points.
