China distorting war history, Taiwanese should not attend its events, Taiwan says
TAIPEI, Aug 15 (Reuters) - China's ruling Communist Party has repeatedly distorted the facts claiming it led the war against Japan and Taiwan's people should not participate in any Chinese commemoration events, the island's top China policy maker said on Friday.
In a video released by his office, Mainland Affairs Council Minister Chiu Chui-cheng said Taiwanese should take part in events organised by their own government instead.
