Totalis launches entertainment industry-focused MGA Spotlight

May 14 - (The Insurer) - Totalis Program Underwriters has added to its roster of MGAs with the launch of Spotlight Entertainment Insurance, which provides insurance solutions to ancillary businesses that support production companies within the entertainment industry.

Spotlight has been crafted out of an existing entertainment industry program that has operated for over 20 years.

The MGA offers a full suite of property, general liability, inland marine, business auto and umbrella liability coverage, meaning the insurance products required for a staged event can be aligned with the details of the project.

Spotlight is led by vice president Alex Baiseri, who in turn reports into Totalis’ senior vice president of operations, John Mahoney.

Baiseri has over 20 years of industry experience, and his career includes time spent at Chubb, ProSight Specialty Insurance and NFP.

“Finding risk management solutions for ancillary businesses working in the entertainment sector can be complicated and costly,” said Baiseri.

“Spotlight understands the unique risks these companies face and will continue to provide the outstanding service and specialized coverage solutions that bring real value to entertainment industry stakeholders,” he added.

Totalis, which is led by president Tom Gillingham, describes itself as an integrated underwriting platform.

It is a division within NFP, the middle market P&C and benefits broker acquired by Aon in April 2024 for around $13.0 billion.
