DLA Piper adds Rix to insurance practice

March 31 - (The Insurer) - DLA Piper has added Charles Rix as a partner in London to bolster the growth of its international insurance business, the law firm said in a statement on Monday.
Rix has almost 30 years of experience as an M&A lawyer advising clients in the insurance industry, including stints as global head of insurance and head of UK M&A at Hogan Lovells in London. He joins DLA Piper from Keystone Law, where he had served a partner since January 2024.
The appointment of Rix is the latest in a series of hires by DLA Piper as the firm builds out its insurance advisory business, including Carl Hotton in London, Cristina Gabardi in Milan and Virginie Frémat in Antwerp.
