U.S. Steel to have majority-U.S. board after Nippon deal, Sen. McCormick tells CNBC
May 27 - U.S. Steel X.N will be led by an American chief executive and have a majority-U.S. board following its acquisition by Japan’s Nippon Steel 5401.T, Senator Dave McCormick said in a CNBC interview on Tuesday.
Nippon will also grant the U.S. government a so-called golden share as part of the agreement, he added.
