
BUENOS AIRES, March 4 (Reuters) - Argentine renewable energy producer Genneia said on Wednesday it signed a financing agreement for $185 million with IDB Invest, part of a facility that is expandable to $320 million, to support new solar parks and battery storage systems in Argentina.
The investment will fund four solar parks in Cuyo and Buenos Aires provinces, a 40 MW battery storage system in Buenos Aires province, and studies for electricity transmission projects linked to new investments in lithium and copper, with IDB Invest providing technical support.
IDB Invest, also called BID Invest in Spanish, is the private-sector arm of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).
