US Cash Grains-Corn, soy basis steady as futures fall

CHICAGO, Jan 30 (Reuters) - Spot basis bids for corn and soybeans were mostly steady in the U.S. Midwest on Friday as futures ticked lower under pressure from a rising U.S. dollar, dealers reported.

• Harsh winter weather has slowed grain movement, while falling futures have given farmers little incentive to sell.

• Weekly corn and soybean export sales for the week ended January 22 were down from very strong levels in the previous week, although sales were in line with trade estimates.

• The early stages of Brazil's soy harvest have also added pressure on prices.

• Chicago Board of Trade March corn futures CH26 were last down 4-1/2 cents to $4.26-1/4 a bushel. CBOT March soybeans SH26 were down 5-1/2 cents to $10.66-3/4 a bushel. GRA/
