Willis names Kumar growth leader for energy, construction and marine in India

Aug 15 - (The Insurer) - Willis, a WTW business, has appointed Azad Kumar as growth leader for its energy, construction and marine business in India, the insurance broker said in a LinkedIn post.
Kumar, who has previously held roles at UIB Insurance Brokers, Jardine Lloyd Thompson and Aon, will help shape the broker's specialisation strategy and support clients in these sectors.
He has worked in fields such as risk advisory for offshore construction, energy and industrial projects, oil and gas infrastructure, and large engineering ventures, as well as strategic advisory for financial institutions, multilateral agencies and global reinsurers, WTW said.
London-headquartered WTW entered India via acquisition of its unit in the country back in 2022. It has been expanding its specialty risk and broking capabilities to leverage demand from infrastructure and energy projects in the country.
