US Cash Grains-Corn, soy basis bids mixed; futures choppy

CHICAGO, July 24 (Reuters) - Spot basis bids for corn and soybeans were mixed in the U.S. Midwest on Thursday as traders eyed weather and signs of a trade deal with foreign buyers.

• The corn basis fell at an Ohio port and two Iowa elevators but rose at an Illinois elevator.

• The soy basis fell at an Iowa elevator and an Illinois elevator.

• Beneficial crop weather in the U.S. Midwest is expected to help produce a bumper corn and soy crop.

• Chicago Board of Trade most-active November soybeans SX25 were last down 1/2 cent to $10.22-1/4 a bushel.

• CBOT most-active corn contract Cv1 were last up 2-1/2 cents to $4.20 a bushel.
