CHICAGO, June 4 (Reuters) - Spot soybean basis bids were mixed and corn bids were flat in the U.S. Midwest on Wednesday as farmers hesitated to sell amid low prices.
The soybean basis increased at an Illinois processor and decreased at an Indiana crush plant.
The corn basis was steady, spot checks showed.
Corn seeding is nearly over and soybean seeding is 84% complete, the U.S. Department of Agriculture reported on Monday.
Corn and soybean futures moved higher on bargain buying after the benchmark Chicago Board of Trade corn contract Cv1 hit a multi-month low and soybeans Sv1 touched a seven-week low earlier this week.
Chicago Board of Trade July soybean futures SN25 rose 4-1/4 cents to settle at $10.45 per bushel. CBOT July corn CN25 rose 1/4 cent to settle at $4.38-3/4 a bushel.
Basis values are quoted against CBOT futures in cents/bu:
