Ethena

Ethena is a decentralized blockchain protocol that aims to enhance the security and scalability of Ethereum. It was developed as a Layer 2 scaling solution to address the issues of high gas fees and network congestion on the Ethereum mainnet. The primary objective of Ethena is to provide faster and more cost-effective transactions while maintaining the security and decentralization of the Ethereum ecosystem. Ethena achieves this by utilizing a novel consensus mechanism and a unique data availability approach. One of the key features of Ethena is its use of a Proof-of-Authority (PoA) consensus algorithm, which relies on a network of authorized validators to process transactions and maintain the network. This approach is designed to offer faster transaction confirmations and lower transaction fees compared to the Proof-of-Work (PoW) consensus used by Ethereum.
