- STOCKS:

The benchmark BSE Sensex .BSESN was down 1.3% at 72,188, while the broader NSE Nifty 50 .NSEI fell 1.4% to 22,370, tracking weakness in Asian peers, after President Donald Trump said the U.S. would hit Iran "extremely hard" in the coming weeks, dimming hopes of a near-term end to the war that has unsettled global markets. .BO

RUPEE:

The Indian rupee INR=IN jumped 1.79% versus the U.S. dollar to 93.13, as the Reserve Bank of India's latest measures to curb rupee speculation left traders anticipating a glut of onshore dollar sales spurred by the unwinding of positions. INR/

GOVERNMENT BONDS:

The benchmark 10-year bond IN064835G=CC was quoted at 95.8650 rupees, with the yield up 5 bps at 7.0855%, as oil climbed after President Donald Trump said attacks on Iran would continue, while traders also awaited debt auction result. IN/

OVERNIGHT INDEX SWAPS:

The one-year overnight index swap rate INR1YMIBROIS=CC was up 5.75 basis points at 6.3025%, while the five-year swap rate INR5YMIBROIS=CC rose 3 bps to 6.82%.

CALL MONEY:

India's overnight call money rate INROND= was at 5.00%, and the overnight TREPS rate INTREPTOT=TCCL was at 5.05%
