Shares of investment accounting software provider Clearwater Analytics CWAN.N rise 7.4% to $23.9 premarket
Permira and Warburg Pincus-led group of private equity firms to acquire CWAN for about $8.4 bln, including debt
Group to take co private for $24.55 per share in cash, which is a 10.3% premium to CWAN's last close of $22.25 - LSEG data
CWAN shares have surged more than 33% since November 10, when reports of takeover interest emerged
Deal expected to be completed in first half of 2026
Last week, activist investor Starboard Value took a nearly 5% stake in co, betting that it was undervalued
As of last close, co has a market cap of $6.51 bln and the stock is down 19.2% YTD
