Shares of drugmaker Pfizer PFE.N rise 2% to $24.33

U.S. President Donald Trump will announce an agreement with the company to lower prices on several of its drugs, according to a White House official

The White House also plans to launch a direct-to-consumer drug website called TrumpRx, where Pfizer will sell some of its medicines at discounted rates

Pfizer will also announce $70 billion in research and domestic manufacturing spending in U.S.

Including session move, stock down 9% YTD
