STOCKS:
The benchmark BSE Sensex .BSESN lost 0.4% to 80,833 and the broader NSE Nifty 50 index .NSEI declined 0.4% to 24,082, driven by losses in pharmaceutical shares after U.S. President Donald Trump announced a 100% levy on branded and patented drugs. .BO
RUPEE:
The Indian rupee INR=IN inched lower versus the U.S. dollar at 88.70, after U.S. President Donald Trump unveiled a new round of tariffs, including a 100% duty on any branded or patented pharmaceutical products. INR/
GOVERNMENT BONDS:
The benchmark 10-year bond IN063335G=CC was quoted at 98.85 rupees, with the yield little changed at 6.4910%, as markets awaited debt auction result. IN/
OVERNIGHT INDEX SWAPS:
The one-year overnight index swap rate INR1YMIBROIS=CC dipped marginally to 5.45%, while the five-year swap rate INR5YMIBROIS=CC inched up to 5.73%.
CALL MONEY:
India's overnight call money rate INROND= was at 5.15% and the overnight TREPS rate INTREPTOT=TCCL was at 5.45%.
