South Korea's DB Insurance 005830.KS has agreed to acquire U.S. specialty carrier Fortegra in a $1.65 billion deal, the Insurer reports, citing people familiar with the matter
Announcement could come as soon as Thursday evening in the U.S., according to the Insurer, a Reuters publication
Deal comes after TIPT twice shelved the planned IPO of its insurance arm Fortegra in New York since 2021
TIPT bought Fortegra in a $218 million all-cash transaction in 2014
As of last close, TIPT stock up 14.1% YTD
