April 2 (Reuters) - U.S. stock indexes recovered from morning losses to trade modestly higher on Wednesday as investors awaited U.S. President Donald Trump's sweeping tariff announcements. .N

At 1330 ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was up 0.73% at 42,296.23. The S&P 500 .SPX was up 0.88% at 5,682.51, and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was up 1.27% at 17,671.01.
