
April 2 (Reuters) - U.S. stock indexes opened sharply lower on Wednesday as investors awaited details of U.S. President Donald Trump's tariffs to assess their impact on the global economy, corporate earnings and inflation.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI fell 342.35 points, or 0.82%, to 41,647.61, the S&P 500 .SPX fell 57.65 points, or 1.00%, to 5,577.02 and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC fell 241.23 points, or 1.38%, to 17,208.66.
