The insurer on Thursday pledged to return more than 8.5 billion euros ($8.9 billion) to shareholders through dividends and share buybacks through 2027, as CEO Philippe Donnet said he would be ready for a new term.
Generali will present its new multi-year strategy to the press at 0900 GMT and to analysts at 1330 GMT.

The broadcaster controlled by Italy's Berlusconi family is among three bidders that have made non-binding offers to Warner Bros Discovery Inc for Polish broadcaster TVN, two sources with knowledge of the matter told Reuters on Wednesday.

Monte dei Paschi's CEO Luigi Lovaglio is meeting investment funds and hedge funds in London on Thursday as part of a roadshow arranged by the bank's advisors UBS and JP Morgan to gather support for its bid for Mediobanca, daily La Stampa said on Thursday.
Among the firms on Lovaglio's agenda of meetings will be BlackRock, whose stake in Mediobanca may have risen above 4%, the newspaper said.

The Italian investment bank said on Wednesday it had bought 438,000 shares for 6.96 million euros as part of its buyback programme.
