MADRID, May 4 (Reuters) - The European Union reserves the right to respond to any breach of the trade agreement with the United States signed last summer with all the instruments at the bloc's disposal, Spain's Economy Minister said on Monday.
Ahead of a Eurogroup meeting of finance ministers in Brussels, Carlos Cuerpo told reporters he hoped Washington would honour the 2025 trade deal after U.S. President Donald Trump said on Friday he would hike tariffs on car and truck imports from Europe to 25% from the previously agreed 15%.
