US, EU, German officials in contact after Trump's auto tariff hike, USTR says

WASHINGTON, May 4 (Reuters) - U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer told CNBC on Monday that he had been in contact with European Union and German trade officials over the weekend, after U.S. President Donald Trump last week raised EU car import tariffs to 25%.
