WASHINGTON, April 7 (Reuters) - A White House official said a ceasefire in the Iran war will come into effect when Tehran opens the Strait of Hormuz, Axios reported on Tuesday after U.S. President Donald Trump posted online that he will suspend Iran's bombardment for two weeks.
The first round of talks between Washington and Tehran are scheduled to take place on Friday in Islamabad, Axios reported. Pakistan has been acting as a mediator between Washington and Tehran.
