April 7 (Reuters) - Fox Corp FOXA.O said on Tuesday it will integrate Kalshi's prediction market data across its news and streaming platforms, reflecting a broader trend among media organizations to use market-based probabilities to complement traditional reporting.
Under the deal, sponsored by Kalshi, the firm's prediction data will be incorporated into FOX News Channel, FOX Business Network, FOX Weather and Fox's direct-to-consumer streaming platform, FOX One, providing forecasts linked to political, economic, weather and cultural events.
Kalshi will also work directly with Fox production teams to support real-time data visualization.
Prediction markets, which allow users to trade on the likelihood of future events, have become very popular after the 2024 U.S. presidential election.
Kalshi said around 70% of visitors use the platform primarily to view forecasts rather than for trading, underscoring growing demand for crowd-sourced probability data as an information tool.
