March 30 (Reuters) - CVS Health CVS.N has opened a pharmacy-only store in Chicago, the first of up to 20 such launches planned this year in the U.S., the healthcare conglomerate said on Monday.
The new stores will make it easier for people to access medications, immunizations and other healthcare services provided by pharmacists.
The smaller dedicated neighborhood pharmacies are different from CVS' traditional full-service front store and pharmacy locations that also offer beauty products, among others.
Pharmacy-only locations are also planned in places including Texas, Massachusetts, Michigan and New York in 2026, CVS said.
The company also plans to open more than 40 new full-service locations this year, including traditional stores and pharmacies in Target TGT.N.
