March 18 (Reuters) - Social media platform X was down for thousands of users in the U.S. on Wednesday, according to Downdetector.com.

There were 14,366 reports of issues with X as of 10:59 a.m. ET, according to Downdetector, which tracks outages by collating status reports from a number of sources.
