Webuild, Hyundai E&C to step up collaboration in strategic infrastructure sectors

March 17 (Reuters) - Webuild WBD.MI has signed a memorandum of understanding with Hyundai Engineering & Construction 000720.KS to strengthen their existing collaboration, Italy's largest construction group said on Tuesday.

The agreement opens a new phase in the industrial partnership, aimed at expanding the companies' presence in highly specialised segments, Webuild added.

• Cooperation will focus on port, airport and defence infrastructure and the green energy sector

• North America and Asia Pacific regions in focus due to rising demand

• MoU provides the possibility of establishing dedicated joint ventures

• Companies will be able to present integrated structures capable of operating as contractors under PPP, EPC or Design & Build models
