PARIS, March 16 (Reuters) - U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on Monday that if President Donald Trump's visit to Beijing was delayed, it would be due to Trump's need to stay in Washington and not because of China abstaining from action on the Hormuz strait amid U.S. conflict with Iran.
Bessent, speaking after meeting Chinese representatives in Paris, also said that the U.S.-China trade talks he attended were constructive.
