Lukashenko says Belarus paid Russia for supplying Oreshnik missile

MOSCOW, March 13 (Reuters) - Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said on Friday that his country had paid Russia for supplying it with Moscow's Oreshnik intermediate-range hypersonic ballistic missile system.

"We bought this weapon," state news agency Belta quoted Lukashenko as saying. It was the first time he had said publicly that the stationing of the weapon in Belarus involved a financial transaction.
