LONDON, March 13 (Reuters) - Some of the holders of Senegal's international bonds have been paid, a source close to the matter told Reuters, after leaders of the debt-laden country insisted they would not default.
Senegal, which is fighting its way back from a hidden debt scandal, owes roughly $480 million in payments which are due on Friday on two international Eurobonds.
The finance ministry did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Bondholders expect the remaining payments to arrive later in the day.
