UK says US has not requested use of Cyprus military base

LONDON, March 2 (Reuters) - British foreign minister Yvette Cooper said on Monday that the United States had not asked to use a British military base in Cyprus where an unmanned drone strike hit a runaway overnight.
Cooper told Times Radio that the Royal Air Force base at Akrotiri remained operational.
