IEA monitoring Middle East events and potential impact on markets, Birol says

March 1 (Reuters) - The International Energy Agency (IEA) is actively monitoring events in the Middle East and the potential implications for global oil and gas markets and trade flows," its director, Fatih Birol, said in a post on X.
"Markets have been well supplied to date," he said, adding that he is in contact with ministries from major producers in the region and IEA governments about the situation.
