South Korea to begin legislative process for nuclear-propelled submarines in H1 2026

- South Korea's defence ministry said on Tuesday that it plans to begin the process for establishing legislation for operating a nuclear-propelled submarine in the first half of 2026.

The ministry said in a briefing that currently South Korea has no regulations governing special elements of nuclear-propelled submarines such as nuclear fuel and nuclear reactors.
