Feb 4 (Reuters) - Plans are being finalized to hold direct talks between Iran and the United States in Oman on Friday, a Gulf official told Reuters on Wednesday, saying that talks in Turkey were no longer under consideration.
The official said the talks would open with the issue of Iran's nuclear programme and then addres other topics step by step.
