CORTINA D'AMPEZZO, ITALY, Feb 3 (Reuters) - Lindsey Vonn is confident she can take part in Sunday's Milano Cortina downhill event despite suffering a serious knee injury, the 2010 Olympic champion said on Tuesday.
The 41-year-old American Alpine skier told a news conference she ruptured her anterior cruciate ligament when she crashed in a women's World Cup downhill in Crans-Montana, Switzerland, last Friday.
