ANKARA, Feb 2 (Reuters) - Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan said on Monday that he hoped a U.S.-backed ceasefire deal between Damascus and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) would be implemented without any delays or stalling.
The deal foresees Syria's Kurdish-run regions being merged with Damascus. Speaking after a cabinet meeting, Erdogan added that the agreement had opened a "new page" for the people of Syria.
