Jan 29 (Reuters) - Visa V.N reported a rise in first-quarter profit on Thursday, as cardholders swiped more during the holiday season, buoyed by resilient U.S. consumer spending.
The company reported net income of $5.9 billion, or $3.03 per share, in the three months as of December 31. That compares with $5.1 billion, or $2.58 per share, in the year earlier.
