BRUSSELS, Jan 29 (Reuters) - Talks between Denmark, Greenland and the U.S. over the Arctic territory held on Wednesday went well and in a constructive atmosphere, Danish Foreign Minister Lars Lokke Rassmussen said on Thursday.
The talks did not bring conclusions yet, Rasmussen said ahead of a meeting with his European Union colleagues in Brussels. "But I am slightly more optimistic today than a week ago," he added.
The diplomatic talks came after months of tensions between Denmark and the United States, both founding NATO members, due to US President Donald Trump's repeated demands to take over Greenland.
