Volkswagen to recall nearly 44,000 US vehicles over battery overheating risk, NHTSA says

Jan 27 (Reuters) - German automaker Volkswagen VOWG.DE will recall 43,881 vehicles in the U.S. because the high-voltage battery may overheat, increasing the risk of a fire, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) said on Tuesday.
