
SEOUL, Jan 23 (Reuters) - South Korean conglomerate Hanwha Group said in a statement on Friday it aims to create at least 200,000 jobs in Canada in total by 2040 through cooperation across various sectors including shipbuilding.
Hanwha, which runs various units from defence to shipbuilding, will invest in Canada's industries including shipbuilding, steel, artificial intelligence, and aerospace, according to the statement.
The company did not disclose the value of the long-term investment.
