Cuba's Diaz-Canel backs relations with Venezuela's Rodriguez in call

Jan 22 (Reuters) - Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel said on Thursday he had spoken by phone with Venezuela's acting President Delcy Rodriguez, and that he would continue working to strengthen relations between the two countries.
Cuba and Venezuela have long been allies, but the United States' attack on Caracas and capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro earlier this month has cast doubt on the future of the South American nation's government.
