US military starts transferring Islamic State prisoners from Syria to Iraq

CAIRO, Jan 21 (Reuters) - The U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) said on Wednesday that its forces have launched a mission in Syria to transfer Islamic State prisoners to Iraq.
The U.S. was able to transport 150 Islamic State fighters held at a detention facility in Syria's Hasakah to a "secure" location in Iraq, it said.
