WASHINGTON, Jan 14 (Reuters) - Invitations have been sent on Wednesday to participate in the international "Board of Peace" that is meant to govern Gaza temporarily as part of U.S. President Donald Trump's plan to end the war in the Palestinian enclave, U.S. officials said.
Speaking to reporters in a briefing call, the U.S. officials declined to say to whom the invites were sent but said Trump would personally be selecting who would be on the board. The briefing came after Washington on Wednesday said it was launching the second phase of Trump's plan even as key elements of the first phase remain unfulfilled.
